Using the Markdown Editor

Find out how to create or update Markdown content in your Confluence site.

Updated over a week ago

In this article, we will explain how to use the markdown editor inside our app. Our markdown editor is a powerful tool that allows you to easily format your text, add images and diagrams, and preview your work in real-time.

Whether you are new to markdown or an experienced user, our editor is designed to make your writing experience as smooth as possible.

Our markdown editor functions just like any other markdown editor. This means you can use all the standard markdown syntax to format your text. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to speed up your writing process.

Toolbar

Our markdown editor comes with a toolbar that contains all the necessary formatting options. You can use these options to make your text bold, italic, or add headings and lists.

The toolbar also allows you to insert images and diagrams, making your content more visually appealing:

  1. Bold text

  2. Italic text

  3. Strikethrough text

  4. Heading

  5. Link

  6. Quote

  7. Code Block

  8. Comment

  9. Table

  10. Bullet List

  11. Numbered List

  12. Diagram

  13. Image

Live Preview

One of the most useful features of our markdown editor is the live preview. As you type, the editor will automatically convert your markdown syntax into formatted text. This allows you to see exactly how your content will look like before publishing it.

You can change between different views from the top right:

  1. Edit mode

  2. Hybrid mode (edit and preview split)

  3. View mode

Rich Element Support

Our markdown editor supports a wide range of rich elements, such as diagrams and images. This means you can easily add visual aids to your content without having to use any external tools. Simply click on the "Insert Image" or "Insert Diagram" button in the toolbar and follow the prompts to add your desired element.
