Step-by-Step

Learn how to insert a diagram into a Confluence page.

1. Insert the macro from within the Confluence editor

Type /diagram and press Enter while editing the page.

2. Choose Diagram Library / Template

Choose what kind of diagram to insert from user-defined, or included templates.

If you're pasting a diagram from somewhere else, make sure you select the right diagram library type - Mermaid for example.

3. Create your diagram

Use the live editor to create your diagram's initial version. Don't worry, you can always update it later.

4. Insert the diagram

5. All done!

Don't forget to save your page.

6. (Optional) Customize the view options

You can change the following attributes from the editor by clicking on the pencil when you select the macro:

  • Title

  • Height

  • URL (not currently used)

  • Show border
