# Turn off AI features AI generation, AI chat editing and the Rovo agent can all be turned off from the site settings. Some organisations need that switch to exist before they will install anything. Turning it off removes the surfaces entirely rather than hiding them, so nobody can reach them by URL. --- ## When you would change this * Policy requires AI features to be unavailable. * A pilot where you want the drawing features but not the generative ones. * Evaluating the app under a restriction you intend to lift later. --- ## What you can set | **Setting** | **What it does** | | --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | AI generation | The generate-a-diagram surfaces, including Diagram Studio. | | AI chat editing | Editing an existing diagram by describing the change. | | Rovo agent | The Capable Diagrams agent in Atlassian's Rovo chat. | | Everything else | Unaffected. All thirty-one languages and all editors keep working. | --- ## A few things that catch people out * Turning AI off does not delete diagrams that were generated with it. They are ordinary diagrams. * The setting is site-wide; there is no per-space AI toggle. * What is sent to a model when AI is on is documented in [Security and privacy](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/security-and-privacy.html). --- ## Related [Diagram settings overviewWhere the settings live, and which wins.](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/diagram-settings-overview.html) [Turn diagram languages on or offThirty-one languages is a lot for one picker.](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/turn-diagram-languages-on-or-off.html) [ExamplesWorking diagrams you can copy.](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/examples.html) --- _Set it once, in the right place._
