# Import diagrams from a page

Rather than redrawing something a colleague already made, bring it in. The scan finds diagrams across the pages you can see.

## How to

From the insert dialog, choose to import from a page. Point at the page, review what was found, and pick the diagrams you want.

## What the scan finds

* Capable diagrams on the page.
* Diagrams from other vendors' macros, where the format is understood.
* Attached diagram files such as .drawio and .vsdx.

## A few things that catch people out

* You only see diagrams on pages you have permission to read.
* A copy does not track the original. If the source changes, your copy will not.
* Scanning a very large page tree takes time; narrow it to the page you mean.
