# Find diagrams on your pages

Diagram text is indexed, so a label inside a shape is findable from ordinary Confluence search.

## Ways to find one

The list gathers every indexed diagram in the space, each thumbnail naming the page it sits on and who made it.

| A diagram whose title you remember      | Search the title as normal.                                                                                                                                                         |

ℹ️

**Indexing is not instant.** A brand new diagram takes a moment to become searchable. The page itself is correct immediately.

## A few things that catch people out

* You only find diagrams on pages you can read.
* Text inside an imported image is not indexed; only real diagram text is.
* Very large diagrams index their text but may truncate at the limits in Reference.
