# Copy a link to a Confluence diagram To copy a link to a Capable diagram in Confluence, open the diagram full screen with **Maximize** (or open it from the Capable Diagrams catalogue), select the share button and choose **Copy URL**. Anyone who can view the diagram can open the link; people without access to its page cannot. --- ## Before you start * You only need to be able to view the diagram. * The people you send it to need permission to view the page the diagram is on. --- ## Steps 1. Hover over the diagram on the page and select **Maximize**, or open the diagram from the Capable Diagrams catalogue. 2. Select the share button at the top right. 3. Choose **Copy URL**. It changes to **Copied URL** for a moment. 4. Paste the link wherever you need it. --- ## What happens next The link opens the diagram on its own in Capable Diagrams, with its comments and details, rather than scrolling to it on the page. ## If it does not work * Someone cannot open the link: they do not have permission to view the diagram's page. See [Diagram permissions](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/diagram-permissions.html). * To send a picture rather than a link, export it instead. See [Export a Confluence diagram as PNG or SVG](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/export-a-confluence-diagram-as-png-or-svg.html). --- ## Related ### [Diagram macro reference](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/diagram-macro-reference.html) The full-screen view and its buttons. ### [Export a Confluence diagram as PNG or SVG](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/export-a-confluence-diagram-as-png-or-svg.html) Send a picture instead. ### [Diagram permissions](https://help.gocapable.com/diagrams/diagram-permissions.html) Who can open what you share. --- _One link, straight to the diagram._
