Download images that have been shared with you using Capable Images.
Capable Images allows you to easily manage and share image assets across your Confluence instance. If someone has shared an image with you, downloading it is straightforward.
Follow the steps below to save images to your local device:
1. Access the Image Library
Navigate to the Capable Images library by going to the relevant Confluence space where the image is stored and click on ‘Images’ in the ‘Space apps’ menu. You’ll see all images available for that space or globally shared assets.
2. Select the Image
Browse through the library to find the image you need. Click on the image thumbnail to open it in a detailed preview.
3. Download the Image
Once the image preview opens, locate the Download button in the top-right corner of the interface. Click the button, and the image will start downloading to your device. The file will save in its original format and resolution, ensuring the quality remains intact.
Tips for Efficient Downloads
Search Functionality: Use the search bar in the library to quickly locate images by name, tags, or metadata. This is especially helpful when dealing with a large collection of shared assets.
Folder Organization: If images are grouped by folders, navigate through the folder structure to find the asset you’re looking for.
Permissions: Make sure you have the appropriate permissions to download shared images. If you encounter any issues, contact the image owner or your Confluence administrator.
