Automatically expire pages
Set expiration dates for your approvals, ensuring that documents remain current.
Capable Approval supports setting expiration dates for your page approvals - these can either be specified at specific intervals - such as every 6 months, or on an exact date - find out how to set these up using our guide below.
1. Click on Capable Approval

2. Click on the Settings Cog

3. Choose Expiration Option

Pages will always require re-approval following a page update.
Options:
On page update (default): This option triggers a requirement for re-approval whenever the page content is updated. It ensures that any changes are reviewed and approved, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the information.
A month after Approval: Selecting this will set the approval to expire one month from the date it was last approved. This is useful for content that requires frequent verification or updates.
3 months after Approval: Similar to the previous option, but with a quarterly interval. This is suitable for documents that need to be reviewed on a seasonal basis.
6 months after Approval: This sets the expiration for six months after the last approval, ideal for content that needs semi-annual review to ensure it remains relevant and accurate.
A year after Approval: Use this for annual review cycles, which is common for many compliance and policy documents that require less frequent updates.
On exact date: This option allows you to specify a particular date on which the approval will expire. It’s particularly useful for documents that align with specific compliance dates or project milestones.
