# Notifications

One capability in the whole suite notifies anyone: Approval. If nothing in your site uses it, nobody will ever get a Capable notification.

Email and Slack are switched per person from the user settings panel, and the Slack row names the workspace already connected.

Email and Slack are not alternatives. For the same event, both are sent.

⚠️

**Slack channel broadcasts bypass the page read-permission check.** A restricted page's title and link go to everyone in the channel. Read the Slack page before configuring one.
