# Connect Microsoft Teams to Capable for Confluence

Microsoft Teams support is coming soon.

To connect Microsoft Teams to Capable for Confluence, a Confluence site administrator opens the **Notifications** tab in Global settings and turns on the connect switch on the **Microsoft Teams** card. Microsoft asks for consent once for your organisation and a sign-in as a Global or Teams Administrator. Nobody installs anything by hand.

## Before you start

* You need to be a Confluence site administrator.
* The Microsoft sign-in must be a Microsoft 365 **Global Administrator** or **Teams Administrator** with a work or school account. If that is someone else, do this together.
* One Microsoft 365 organisation per Confluence site.

## Steps

1. Open **Global settings** for Capable, or select **Manage notifications** in your Capable settings.
2. Select the **Notifications** tab.
3. On the **Microsoft Teams** card, turn on the connect switch.
4. Accept Microsoft's consent screen for your organisation.
5. Sign in as a Global or Teams Administrator, in the same browser.
6. Back in Confluence, check the card shows **Connected** and your organisation's name.

## If it does not work

| We could not confirm this account is a Microsoft 365 Global or Teams Administrator | Sign in with an account that holds one of those roles.                          |
| Personal Microsoft accounts cannot be linked                                       | Use a work or school account.                                                   |
| This sign-in has expired or was already used                                       | Start again from Confluence and finish in the same browser.                     |
| Microsoft Teams is already connected to this site                                  | Turn the connect switch off first if you mean to link a different organisation. |

Connected before 21 October 2026? Turn the switch off and on again so Capable can reach approvers who have never opened the app.
