# On a published Capable Site, an Event macro shows UTC times rather than the visitor's local times **What you are seeing** On a published Capable Site, an Event macro shows UTC times rather than the visitor's local times. --- ## Why it happens The macro's default Time zone means "the viewer's zone", and a static site is built with no viewer, so it falls back to UTC. --- ## What to do Set an explicit Time zone on any Event macro that will be exported to a site. --- ## Settings involved | **Setting** | **Where** | **What it does** | | ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Calendar subscriptions | Confluence settings → Capable (Capable Calendar in the standalone app) → Features | "Let users subscribe to Capable calendars from Google, Apple, or Outlook via a personal iCal feed.
