# Move, edit or delete an event on a Confluence calendar To move an event on a Confluence calendar, drag it to another day or time; drag its edge in Week or Day view to change how long it runs. To change anything else, open the event, select **Edit** and then **Save Changes**. To remove it, open it, choose **Delete** and confirm. --- ## Before you start * You need edit rights on the calendar. On a page, the Calendar macro also needs **Event editing** turned on. * These steps are for events saved in a calendar. Dates written on a page are changed by editing that page. --- ## Steps 1. Drag the event to its new day, or to a new time in Week or Day view. 2. In Week or Day view, drag the bottom edge of the event. 3. Click the event to open it, select **Edit**, change what you need and select **Save Changes**. 4. Open the event, select **Delete**, and confirm in the **Delete Event** dialog. This cannot be undone. --- ## What happens next Everyone sees the change on the calendar and on every page that shows it. Subscribed calendar apps usually pick it up within 5 to 15 minutes. --- ## If it does not work * **The event will not drag.** You do not have edit rights on the calendar, or the event comes from a page date. Open the page and change the date there. * **There is no Edit button.** The event is in a built-in calendar, or you can only view this calendar.
