# "Dates" column and the Calendar panel badge in Capable Search show fewer dates than the page has **What you are seeing** The "Dates" column and the Calendar panel badge in Capable Search show fewer dates than the page has. --- ## Why it happens Those two read the page without the app identifiers needed to recognise Capable Event macros, so they count only Confluence's own dates. The page byline, which does pass them, counts both. --- ## What to do Trust the byline count for the true total. --- ## Settings involved | **Setting** | **Where** | **What it does** | | ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Calendar subscriptions | Confluence settings → Capable (Capable Calendar in the standalone app) → Features | "Let users subscribe to Capable calendars from Google, Apple, or Outlook via a personal iCal feed. Turn off to disable subscriptions for all users." Only appears when the installed app includes the Calendar capability. T | | Calendar (global settings tab) | Confluence settings → Capable → Calendar | Card title "Calendar subscriptions", description "Personal iCal feed links your users have generated for calendars." Lists user, calendar, status and created date, paged with Previous/Next. Non-administrators see "Conflu | | Calendar capability visibility | Space settings → Capable → capability list → Calendar | Auto shows the byline where relevant. In the Suite that means only on pages Capable has already indexed as carrying dates. Always forces Calendar on for the space; Never hides it there. This is the generic per-capability | --- ## Limits that apply here | **Limit** | **Value** | **What happens** | | --------------------------- | --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Pages from search source | \- | Dates on pages beyond the limit simply do not appear, with no warning. | | Date search index | \- | First date, last date and the mentioned-user list are always recorded; only the list of individual dates is capped. | | Indexed date search results | \- | Also skipped entirely until the calendar has reported a real visible date range. | --- ## Related [Switched all the event types off, but the calendar still shows everythingWith no event types selected, the filter is not applied at all, so all sources are drawn.](https://help.gocapable.com/calendar/switched-all-the-event-types-off-but-the-calendar-still-shows-everything.html) [Turned off "Confluence Date macros", but dates inside action items still appearThe action-item branch of the date reader does not honour that switch.
